TLGC gives its Club members the opportunity to develop their businesses by forming long term business relationships. By attending regular meetings at local venues, meeting and networking with a group of like-minded business people, they can expand your list of contacts, grow their business and most importantly, win new leads for their business. Every member also has their own complimentary ‘meanzbizness’ local town business website page and top-featured category listing.

Club meetings last approximately 1.5 hours and finish by 9am to ensure that members do not have to take too much time out of their busy working day. Each meeting includes an introduction round, for each member and visitor to describe what they do and what sort of business and clients they are looking for; a buffet a la carte breakfast with continental and vegetarian alternatives; a 10-minute session for either a member to describe their services in more detail or an invited speaker to inform the group; exchanges of business cards and leads for new business; and business support and education discussion.

Membership of a TLGC club is exclusive – only one representative of each profession or trade may become a member. It is by invitation only. Membership of TLGC does not restrict members from belonging to and attending other business networking organisations and events – this is actively encouraged. There is an attendance target of 75%, but clubs do not meet in bank holiday weeks, and members may send substitutes for up to 13 meetings each year.

TLGC was formed in 2003 and is well-established within the heart of England. In 2011 it commenced an ambitious expansion programme and clubs are now being launched across Kent and the whole of the south-east England region. Most are breakfast clubs, but lunchtime and evening clubs are also being planned for launch this year. Opportunities exist for club area managers to earn a good secondary income and promote their business uniquely through over 100 local business people.
